SEK I had been doing a vein treatment for years each spring to collapse my spider veins but had a bad reaction to the solution and had to quit. I needed something to cover my spider veins and leg imperfections so I could go without hose and found this. Great product, stays on and doesn't rub off easily and actually is water resistant as advertised and so you need soap and water to remove which is great. There isn't any real odor to speak of so that's a definite plus. I normally buy the Deep so it gives my legs a nice color. I will continue to purchase it !

MegShine I tried this product, somewhat hesitantly, to see if it would help my pitiful-looking legs. I have very fair legs, and every little dark hair follicle is very visible. My lower legs do not tan well, and I'm not a huge fan of sunless tanners, as often times they make the hair follicles more prominent. I had tried the spray-on version of this product years ago. I liked how it covered, but it did appear rather fake looking. When I saw they had come out with the lotion, I thought maybe it wouldn't appear as overtly fake. I've tried it once so far, and I like it better than the spray. It doesn't have the shimmery quality to it, and I've found it easier to smooth in and blend with your natural color. I bought the light color. It does take some practice with applying it- you really have to rub it in good and blend well. AND A LITTLE BIT GOES A LONG WAY!!! If you use too much, it'll just look fake. The only thing I didn't really like with it was using it over dry areas (i.e. knees, etc.). Much like foundation, this product will settle into dry areas and make them more noticeable. I would suggest either mixing it with another lotion, or applying a lotion before this product, letting it dry, then applying this one so that it goes on as smooth as possible without looking "cakey". Keep in mind this is NOT a sunless tanner. It is makeup. But it will do (in my opinion) a better job of masking imperfections than sunless tanner, and it does offer a little bit of color. It comes off easily in the shower with soap and water. It's not something I would want to fool with everyday (as you would have to if you wanted it to last), but definitely for special occasions. I will probably buy this product again.

Loves a Tan Okay Ladies!

I have tried practically every tanning product out there (given my very pale, dry skin and living in CA) and even gotten many professional spray tans. The problem with self tanners if you have dry skin, is all the spots since it attaches itself extra strongly to the dry areas of the skin giving you a highly freckled appearance. Not to mention the difficulty finding one that has a great color, goes on smoothly, doesn't transfer, etc. I had to work really hard on a frequent basis to keep self tanners looking good and natural (including a lot of scrubbing). I was never really happy with the results.

Then comes the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs! I tried the older spray version a couple years ago but really didn't like the shimmer - everyone could tell it wasn't natural even though the underlying color was great. I used the darkest one with no issues. When the lotion version came out I was thrilled to see no sparkles and the color intensity was fantastic! A little of this goes a long way so a tube lasts me over 2 months with regular use in the summer. This is so much better than self tanner because of the even coverage and your real skin still shows through so it's not like putting an opaque product on that looks fake. I put it on after moisturizing but if I'm in a hurry I just mix a little lotion with the product and proceed. The trick is to use latex gloves and rub in it all the way and blend well around knees, ankles and toes. I can sleep on my darker sheets with very little rub off and it washes out in the machine easily. A little might rub off on your clothes if you get sweaty but for the most part it's not a problem at all.

I get so many people commenting on my tan! I have never felt so confident wearing shorts and skirts (even shorter than usual) because of how tan and smooth my legs look. I even use this on my arms once in a while. It covers a lot of sun damage and all the years of aging (I'm 47).

I shower and it doesn't come of unless I rub it off with my brown washcloth. If I just pat it dry, it stays just fine and sometimes I just freshen it with a little more product for another day of wear. I spend about as much time using this as I did with a self tanner but the results are 10X better! The best part? You can take it off 100% when you want to and any streaks or blotches can be fixed in seconds (this is rare because of the way it applies). Try that with a self tanner! This products is the ultimate in flexibility and ease.

Flava This is the third bottle of SH Airbrush Leg Makeup I have bought and I still love it. I have very pasty white legs and when I wear a dress, I like to have some color. This product gives me a deep golden color without glitter or shine. It goes on matte and you do have to rub it in well to make it look even. Let it dry for at least five minutes before dressing. It lasts all day and even sweat won't streak it. I cannot get it off with water alone; I have to use soap and water to remove it. It doesn't rub off on light clothing unless I dress before it's dry. The product makes my legs look sleek and toned. It appears as though I am wearing hosiery. And there is no odor with the product! Best of all is that it has never made my skin break out or itch and I have very sensitive skin prone to rashes.

I wish the light tone were lighter, though. I have both the medium and the light and there isn't a real difference between them. And I do have to wash well after using as it will lodge in the creases of skin, under rings, etc.

katka This is amazing! I was completely skeptical but I've been eyeing this product for a while. I finally caved when I had my 20% coupon and I'm glad I did!!! I normally use self tanner in the summer, but as we all know it has an unpleasant smell. This stuff is great if I am planning on wearing a skirt/dress last minute and didn't have time to self tan in advance. It seriously stays on until you shower! (I actually put a layer on before bed - slept in my white sheets and nothing on the sheets in the morning!!) No unpleasant smell since it isn't a self tanner - more like foundation + bronzer for your legs. I find it sets REALLY quickly which is good and bad. Good because I'm impatient but bad because I don't have much time to buff it in. So I usually mix a bit of this with lotion. Also, I normally tend to get medium to dark skin tone colors (with self tanners) even though I am pale because I think it gives me extra color. Something told me to get the light skinned one and I'm glad I did! I think the darker shade would have been wayyyy too much. I have put on a few layers if I want to be darker which works great.

fair and freckled The spray version of this has sparkles in it--weird looking out in the sunlight. Also the spray nozzles gum up easily. I found this to be much easier to use--you just have to really wash your hands afterwards or you'll have it on your palms. Like it a lot!

Easy tan This is great to use! Can't believe all the bad reviews.ignore them! It looks like a tan without the cancer! Also, my skin is sensitive and this product is not harsh. Covers nicely and the medium is not orange at all! Comes off easily with soap and water. I hope I always have access to this product. My mom and sister and a friend are all using it now!

Flavah! I really liked how this product looked on me. I have ghost-white legs and wanted an instant tan. Sally fit the bill. The product goes on smoothly and dries super fast. You have to blend quickly or it will streak. You can add more to go as dark as you'd like. Next time, I may order one shade lighter for a more natural sun-kissed look.

Let the product set for two minutes before dressing. It is indeed water resistant. I splashed my arm with lots of water and it had no impact at all. If I rubbed hard, I could get a little off on a tissue but it did not transfer to my clothes or bed sheets.

Wearing this product gave my legs a golden color almost as though I was wearing hosiery. My arms looked contoured and toned. Nice!

svartist I purchased this to cover some little spider veins in my leg but it is completely useless. I purchased it in Light but it is too dark for fair skin and totally orange. I felt compelled to warn people because even if it did cover anything which it doesn't, the color is so freakishly unnatural it is impossible to walk around with this on without looking an Oompa Loompa. It smells like a cheap stinky self tanner which it isn't. A subtle shimmer lotion for legs works so much better at hiding imperfections and I will just continue to use that. A total waste of money.
